    FREE Business Workshop
    Unstoppable Referral Kit

On June 9th, 7:30-8:30 am, KC Networking Group (KCNG) will host their 2nd quarter Business Workshop with a discussion of Steve Gordon’s Unstoppable Referral Kit and how to create one, and then how to use one to begin your quest for unstoppable referrals.

The source for the workshop comes from Unstoppable Referrals: 10X Referrals – Half the Effort and is a great book by Steve Gordon, editor of The Unstoppable CEO – The Leadership Journal for Growing Firms.

Phyllis Cronbaugh, Realtor® with Keller Williams Diamond Partners, will lead the workshop and demonstrate a referral kit that she created in a recent writing class and show how it is different from other marketing techniques.

KCNG meets at Pegah’s Restaurant in their private room at 12122 W 87th St, Lenexa, KS 66215 (just a couple blocks west of I-35 on 87th St). Join the workshop as my guest on June 9th. If you would like breakfast, come between 7:00-7:15. The workshop will start at 7:30 and end by 8:30 am. RSVP if you are attending and not a member of KCNG so we have handouts for everyone.

The Power of a Grateful Nation to Honor and Celebrate its Fallen Warriors

Kansas City, Kansas (May 10, 2017) – Kansas City, get ready on Memorial Day 2017 to make a Red, White, and Blue statement that will resonate across the Midwest and have many Americans beaming with patriotic pride.

On Thursday, May 25th, American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation President Jack Barnes is teaming up with The Home Depot Foundation, Team Depot volunteers, and other service-based helpers to begin placement of 8,000 American flags in several grassy areas on State Avenue near the parking-lot entrance of Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City, KS.

This emotional presentation, available for viewing from Friday, May 26th – Sunday, June 4th, will honor and celebrate our nation’s Fallen Warriors from the start of the Gulf War through the ongoing War on Terror.

Parking is free. Admission is free. (See attached street map for flag-planting sites).

KCK is the proposed site of the AFWMF’s National War on Terror National Memorial & Museum that will commemorate the lives of these brave servicemen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country in the Armed Forces. The mission is straightforward – make this sea of flags a memorable milestone and KCK community-supported salvo towards getting the Memorial & Museum funded, built, and opened to a global audience.

Retired Navy Chief Petty Officer Barnes: “8,000 American Flags in the ground will be a meaningful visual display and public reminder of those who served to defend our flag, our country, and our freedom. As a Veteran, it is my duty and privilege to lead the public and encourage its support of this very important Memorial Day holiday. Memorial Day is every day for the families of the fallen, as it should be for every American citizen.”

While the American flags are in the ground for public viewing, Schlitterbahn Waterpark will be hosting its American Heroes Week from Memorial Day Monday, May 29th through Sunday, June 4th. Members of the Military, Police, Firefighters, and EMTs are admitted FREE during this special week as a salute to our troops and public-safety officers. Tickets for spouses and dependent children are available for 50% off the regular General Admission gate price.

Home Depot Olathe provided AFWMF with grants to purchase 8,000 American flags.

Since 2011, The Home Depot Foundation has invested more than $160 million to improving the lives and homes of U.S military veterans and their families, and along with the help of Team Depot associate-led volunteer forces, has impacted more than 26,700 homes for veterans.

About the American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation:

The AFWMF was founded in 2011 and is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit with the altruistic goal of building a National War on Terror Memorial & Museum to celebrate and honor our Fallen Warriors from the Gulf War to present date. A secondary mission is to educate America’s youth about the heroic sacrifices being made for our liberties and freedom. The AFWMF’s goals will be accomplished with the help of patriotic Americans from all walks of life joining forces to make sure this National Memorial & Museum is funded and built and our Fallen Warriors have a suitable and sacred place of remembrance and honor.

Ever since completing his time in the military, Liberty Candle founder James Dressler kept hearing the same statement over and over from friends, family, contacts and customers: "I want to do more, I'm just not sure WHAT to do that would help the most."

"Start with being prayerful and mindful," James would reply. "You would be surprised how much you will start to see needs you can help meet if you're aware of what is going on in our backyards."

Today, Liberty Candle Company is helping our community to not only have an extremely high quality candle to enjoy in their home, but it is one that will help them in their effort to remember our Warriors, their Families, and our Leaders that send them into harm's way. We are also helping connect our community members that indeed what to help our Veterans with the organizations that NEED their support.

If you truly want to do more for our Military, Veterans, and their Families, here is what you can do TODAY:

    1. Support Veteran-Owned Businesses, and please consider one of our candles for your or your loved ones' homes

    2. Understand the Veteran Support Organizations that are serving right where you are, and their needs

    3. If you know a family who has a loved one away on duty, check in on them and ASK what you can do

    4. Vote and support legislation that will help our nation better honor and support those who have served

We would be happy to help you identify business and organization you would like to support, just contact James@liberty-candle.com or call us at (913)712-0234 and WE WILL HELP.
