The Speakers Academy

OUR MISSION

The Speakers Academy mission is to aid ACA members in becoming better speakers and communicators whether in large presentations, groups or one on one conversations. We believe that, although some people are more natural speakers than others, everyone can improve their skills. 


KEY BENEFITS OF THE SPEAKERS ACADEMY

Monthly events for you and a guest to attend focusing on improving communication skills.


Monthly group Zoom calls with a member of the Executive committee to improve your communication needs at your current level including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Become proficient in speaking 
  • Polish your introduction
  • How to network effectively
  • How to build rapport with others
  • How to use nerves to your advantage 
  • How to conduct an efficient meeting
  • How to improve your listening and relationships at the same time
  • Understand what elements to include in your communications and which to omit
  • Learn how to lower the amount of filler words such as um, ah, and, like
  • Learn how to gesture and use body language whether on video or in person
  • Gain an understanding of how to use the room to your full advantage
  • How to become a professional speaker and get paid

MEMBERSHIP
